1) Based on your current need to drive social media awareness what are the key elements that you would like me to communicate. Can you also expand on your corporate initiatives so I can build them in as well?
Discussing these questions with a senior manager will help me better understand what the company is looking to achieve. Understanding the companies goals and their corporate initiatives will be beneficial in creating a long-term strategy for profitability and success. Understanding goals will help in creating a content calendar for example.
2) For your target users can you provide me with some the demographics that you would like me to target. Through previous campaign experience are their groups that responds to social media and what are the key triggers?
This question is really important especially for marketing and using social media to market. Understanding key demographics helps us understand who we are marketing to. What type of person buys are products, engages with our content, follows us etc. It also helps in the creative process, whether that is creating something more gender specific, or age specific, what social media platforms to use based on that demographic. Understanding who we want to target in our market helps to successfully be able to sell products and reach our goals.
3) How do you chose what lines you carry? Is it based on product? Brand establishment? Do you carry any line that you have the opportunity to? What makes a line profitable and what do you believe is the most valuable thing a brand can have or do?
I think this question would allow me bigger insight into the company. As Social Media Coordinator this year I worked on a lot of different lines that sold a range of products. It interests me how they go about choosing said lines and what key factors, someone would look at in making a deal. This question also goes further to ask what key things make a line profitable. Progressive Sales has been in this industry for a long time and have been the Canadian reps for many big lines, this question would help build upon what I already know, but also give me more insight into the industry.
